Born from Love. Created to Celebrate Life.

The Last Hoorah began with one family’s story and a belief that every life deserves to be remembered in a way that feels truly personal.

Hello From Claire.

The Last Hoorah was born from the hardest two years of my life. In 2024, Woking & Sam Beare Hospice cared for my uncle. On the very day I watched him pass away, my mum, Kimberley, received her own terminal diagnosis. During that time, I shared an idea with Mum that I couldn’t shake: helping families create celebrations filled with everything that made their person special. She believed in it immediately and encouraged me to enter the Spelthorne Business Plan Competition. As I finished presenting, Mum arrived in her wheelchair, still wearing her hospital band, to cheer me on. I won, and she was over the moon. Two days later, she was admitted to the hospice as an inpatient.

That experience showed me just how difficult it is to hold everything together while you are grieving. When there is barely enough energy to face the day, finding venues, coordinating suppliers and managing performers can feel overwhelming. But I also know how much it means to look back on someone’s send-off and smile—to remember the music, the stories and the moments that felt completely like them. That is what I want to give every family I work with: the support and space to be present, while I take care of bringing their person’s Last Hoorah to life.

CLIENT STORIES

“Claire understood exactly what we wanted—something warm, personal and full of the little things that made Dad who he was. She took away the stress, brought every detail together and gave our family the space to simply be present. It was a beautiful day that truly felt like him.”

My Mum's Last Hoorah

When my Mum died, I wanted her send-off to look, sound and feel like her. I brought together family, friends and our wider village for the Crazy Cat Club, a joyful mini festival inspired by everything she loved. It also gave my son, Michael, a gentle and positive way to say goodbye to his nanny. Children are often understandably shielded from funerals, but a celebration of life can offer them a softer, more accessible way to remember someone they love. We raised thousands for the hospice and created memories we will always treasure. That afternoon became Mum’s Last Hoorah and the beginning of my mission to help other families celebrate the people they love.
